Notes

  • 1930 Federal Census, San Francisco County, Oklahoma, [no date], SanFrancisco, Assembly District 27, Enumeration District 190, page 22A,2420 Lincolnway, Hse #317, Fam #328
Eynon, Eurich V Head Rents $60 M W 21 [Should be 26 or 27] Firstmarried at age 23 [sic this appears to be correct] Utah WisconsinEngland Dept Store Salesman

Carey, Muriel Sister F W 21 [Should be 31] Widow First married at age18 Utah Wisconsin England Dept Store Saleswoman
Carey, Claude E Nephew M W 11 Dist of Columbia Utah Utah [b abt 1919]
Carey, Betty Lou Niece F W 7 Dist of Utah Utah Utah [b abt 1923]

Note that even though Eurich is reported as 21 years old, this alsosays he was first married at age 23!  From what we find in earliercensuses (which were found later) his age in 1930 hould have been 27.But his wife Eva is reported as being 21 and marrying at 18.  Going bythis, married three years ago, Eyrick's age would be 26 or 27.

This information led to a 1920 census that seems to represent thisfamily.  There are a few discrepancies and questions that come up.Muriel's brother Eurich matches pretty well, with the name spelledEyrick, and the same unusual middle initial of V.  The clincher seemsto be that Alice Eynon was born in England and the children's fatherin Wisconsin, as in the 1930 census.  All the children were born inUtah, as in 1920.

Though these critical details match, there are some discrepancies inages.  Eyrick V is 17 in 1920 and Eurich V only 21, instead of 27  in1930.  The unusual facts about the parents, however, would seem tomake this a sure match.  But we learn here also that Eurich had a twinbrother, Cyril O.

Knowing of two children from the 1930 census, I expected Louise tomatch Muriel.  But ages and different initials made this problematic. It became clear when I discovered the 1910 census indicating twodaughters and the twin sons.  More detail was filled in with eachsuccessive step back in time as the records turned up in searches.Muriel's age was also reported as 10 years too young in the 1930census, further throwing off the identification.  She was 11 years oldin 1910.

    Eynon, Eyrick V Son M W 17 Utah Wisconsin England [abt 1912]
    Eynon, F Louise Dau F W 13 Utah Wisconsin England [abt 1916]

Muriel's age in 1910 does not match her age in the 1930 census, whenshe and her brother Eyrick are both reported as 21.  He should be 27and she should be 31.  She was already 11 years old in 1910.  I thinkthat should be the definitive reference point.  So she is reported as10 years younger than she should be in 1930!

Louise's age matches 1920 census age.  The agreement on the twins' agein 1910 and 1920 makes up for the discrepancy in Eyrick's age in the1930 census.
