Elsie married John Wycough.  Family members are unsure what happenedbetween them, and indicate Elsie and John were divorced. They had threechildren, and in the 1940 census, they aer enumerated with Elsie inthe home of her mother and stepfather.

"My husband's father was John Wycough. He was married to Elsie McSwainand they had Perry, Jane and Paul. ... We can't seem to figure outwhen they got divorced or why John is nowhere to be found in the 1940[census?]. Hoping that family stories on your end may be able to piecesome of it together. Any information you may have would be so helpful.Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my message andhopefully get back with me."
