James is reported as widowed in the 1910 ccensus.  But he was stillmarried to Elizabeth Mildred Lasiter Marvel.  They divorced in 1912.Perhaps they were already separated by 1910 and he was ashamed toreport that status?  They are obviously not together.  She did not dieuntil 1915, in Wheeler County, texas.

Jeff Davis, Davis and Marvel family resecher, reports that James andMildred Elizabeth (or Elizabeth Mildred by some sources) married in1885, but divorced about 1912.

Fourth Marriage-Elizabeth M. DAVIS married James MARVEL 1885, divorcedaround 1912.
