Notes

  • Georgia Marriages to 1850
    Enoch Green
    Spouse Winny Ann Cavender
Marriage 30 Oct 1840 Hall County, Georgia

Winny appears to be Enoch's first wife.  In the 1850 census he is with a different wife, and another marriage record correlates with this.  The 8-year-old son W A woudl be the child of the first wife.

    1850 Federal Census, Hall County, Georgia, 10 September, District 38, page 367, Hse/Fam #499
Enoch Green 29 M Laborer b South Carolina
    S Green 21 F b unknown
    W A Green 8 M b Georgia
    M E Green 8mos M b Georgia

Shortly after I found this 1850 census record, I found a marriage record that seemed to match Enoch and his wife:
    Georgia Marriages to 1850
    Enoch Green
    Spouse Susannah Wilkerson
Marriage 20 Mar 1848 Hall County, Georgia

The name Susannah on the marriage record matches the initial S in the census.  This marriage date is 1848, but the first child in the census is 8 years old, making him born in 1842, so he would be Winny Ann's son.
