    Sarah Lund Crocker, 80, of Live Oak, FL passed away December 21, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Dowling Park, Fl. Sarah Louise Lund was born on July 6th, 1930 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

    Sarah attended Lawton High School where she played on the tennis team, was a member of the Spanish club and Honor Society. Sarah also attended The University of Oklahoma in Norman where she played on the tennis team and studied business administration. Sarah moved to Palm Beach, FL where she met and married Robert E. Crocker in 1959. Sarah was President of the Fort Lauderdale Junior Women's Club in 1968 and The Florida Paint Horse Club in 1975.

    Professionally, Sarah was a life-long Administrative Assistant, first for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Palm Beach, FL, then for Adjusters International in Fort Lauderdale and for almost 20 years, was the Administrative Assistant and Senior Pastor's Secretary at Flamingo Road Baptist Church in Sunshine Ranches, Fl.

    Sarah's passions were her faith and family. Those who knew her remember her kind, gentle spirit and loving heart as well her gift of hospitality by hosting many events in their South Florida home and at their summer cottage in Alton Bay, NH. Sarah also displayed complete and unselfish devotion to her Lord and Savior by serving as a volunteer in various church ministries including Sheridan House Family Ministries in South Florida. In addition, Sarah was a faithful member of church choirs at Flamingo Road Baptist Church in Davie, FL, The Advent Christian Village Church in Live Oak, FL and the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center in Alton Bay, NH.

    The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 11th [in 2014?  3 weeks after her death?] at 11:00 AM at the Village Church, Dowling Park, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sheridan House Family Ministries in Davie, FL, The Village Church in Dowling Park, FL, or Alton Bay Christian Conference Center, in Alton Bay, N.H.

    Note that the date of birth reported in the obituary here as well as the grave, according to the memorial, was 6 July 1930.  In the online obituary on the funeral home site, the date in the body of the obituary is s shown here.  However, the summary dates in the header fo the obit have her birth date as 6 July 1933.  The latter date matches her age of 6 as reported in the 1940 census.
