• Calvin and Mollie Tichenor had a son named Calvin.  But there are several Calvins in related lines of Tichenors.  The Social Security Death Index records one as follows:

  At first I assumed this was the brother of Fairlee Tichenor, but when rechecking generations and census ages, I realized this could not be the same Calvin who was the son of Calvin and Mollie.  His birth date is only 6 months after that of their daughter Fairlee! This Calvin would have been a cousin of Fairlee and her brother Calvin, but I am uncertain exactly who his parents are.

  The birthplace information for the children is puzzling.  They both differ, and if correct, could not represent the same set of parents.  For instance, Nellie is 2 months old and born in Tennessee, which matches the current residence in Memphis.  Parents' birth states match those reported here for Calivin and Nellie.  But Laura, born within the period of time Calvin and Nellie are reported married, is reported as born in Missouri (maybe they married in Missouri then moved to Memphis), but her father was born in Missouri as well as her mother.
  
  A grave in Mt Pleasant Cemetery reports the birth of Calvin Tichenor in 1877 and his death in 1936.  The stone is a footstone saying "Father" and matching that of his mother Molly Bonner Tichenor, but the date matches the birth date of the son of Calvin Sr and Molly.  There is not stone for Calvin Sr in this cemetery.  The death date for this Calvin is only 6 years later than Molly's death.
