Notes
- Her name is spelled Rachel in the 1880 census, and in an anonymous Trout family genealogy in the Ancestry World Tree collection. The 1900 census spells her name Rachael.
The 1880 census says she was born in Virginia, as well as both her parents. In 1900, however, it is reported that she was born in Georgia and both her parents were born in Illinois. The latter also reports that her son William was born in Texas, but his father in Illinois and his mother in Georgia.
Since James Neunon is reported as born in Georgia in both censuses, this makes it appear that William had a different father. The other children on the other hand are all reported as having a father born in Georgia, and a mother also, which matches James and the 1990 report for Rachael/Rachel.
