    Her grave has her name as Beatrix.  Other sources report it asBeatrice.  Notice that Beatrice's middle initial in the 1930 census isV.  Her name on her grave marker is Beatrix V Jenkins.  I cannotaccount for the V.  But her name in the 1940 census is given with aclearly different middle initial:  Beatrice U.  But no source has beenfound for the name Annie reported in the 1930 census,

    In 1940 only two children remain in Everett's household.  He hasdivorced his second wife Beulah.  But the child matching Annie V inage is reported as Beatrice U.

    Beatrix V. "Sue" Ester
    1921 - 2007

    Beatrix V. "Sue" Ester, a Kern County resident for 16 years, passedaway on January 12, 2007. Sue was born on April 1, 1921, in Healdton,Oklahoma to James and Osa Jenkins. Sue worked for Knott's Berry Farmfrom 1949 till 1969 as supervisor in the Chicken Dinner Restaurant.After that, she worked at Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where she wasawarded "Employee of the Year". She retired in 1986.

    Sue will be remembered for her kindness, honesty and lovingness to herfamily and to all who knew her. She had attended First Assembly of Godand loved to tell everyone she met about Teen Challenge. Sue waspreceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Larrie, hersiblings; Joseph, Perk, Dick, Keck and sister Vernice. Sue is survivedby her daughter Carol Tidwell and son-in-law Rod, grandsons Michaeland Matthew and granddaughter Summer and her husband Andy and greatgrandchild Michael, to be born in May 2007, and numerous nieces andnephews.

    Special thanks to the staff and physicians at Kaiser Permanente forthe quality of care they have provided, and to Tommy Lee, MD. Therewill be a private family service on Wednesday at Loma Vista MemorialPark in Fullerton, California.
