  Elmer is listed here as W E.  I originally concluded that the W stands for William, and this is confirmed by a Find a Grave Memorial for William.  The name on his grave is actually William E.  This seems to be the correct W E Brinkley, in the proximity of his parents in the Hudson Cemetery and other members of this Brinkley family.  However, the gravestone (if this transcription is correct -- there is no photo provided) has the birth year only as 1900, while we know that Elmer and Zelma were born in Sept 1899, according to the 1900 census, when they were already 8 months old.  The error of one or more years in the date on gravestones is a surprisingly frequent problem.
