In 1880 Robert has lost his mother Maggie Burton Brinkley, who family sources tell us died in 1877.

Robert's birthday is reported as May 1876. I found that a fairly good family genealogy has the birth date of 6 November 1876 for Robert.

Rob is buried in Walters Cemetery, Walters, Oklahoma. Walters is mostly in Cotton County, Oklahoma, but partly in Comanche County, where Robert lived, going by the 1910 census. His widow Beulah was reported living in Walters, Cotton County, in 1920. In the probate records, it is indicated that Robert left property in Cotton County, and Beulah is referred to as "of this county." But there are indications they actually lived on the Comanche County side of town. The probate records for Robert C indicate he died on 18 May 1916.

Robert Clarence was buried in the Walters Cemetery in Cotton County, Oklahoma. The cemetery listing has Robert Clarence, his wife Beulah, and one R C, who would to be their son Robert. No dates are found for any of them.

His obit was published on 1 Jun 1916. A copy of it was provided by a family member to cousin and coresearcher Marion Mixon in October 2015.

"Bob Brinkley died at his house in Walters May 18 of cancer of the liver. Burial was in the Walters Cemetery."
