  Wesley is reported here as the son of James, but Wesley's father is reported born in Texas, while James is reported born in Oklahoma.  There is a 20-year difference in age between Wesley and the next child here, Jean (Gene).  I would not think they had the same mother.  But Mary is reproted as only the second wife.  Since James and Mary have been married only about 5 years, Gene and Joe would be the children of the 1st wife.  Since Welsey's father is reported born in Texas, he may be Wesley an adopted son of the first wife from her first marriage.
  
  We are told that James and Mary have been married 5 years.  Letha is reported as 5 years old, but the way they rounded numbers and were very inexact with ages in those days, and with the gap in ages from the first two children, Letha is likely the first child of this marriage.
