In the 1900 census, Martha's husband William is reproted born in West Virginia, but we know from family sources he was born in Yancey County, North Carolina. The 1910 and 1920 census correclty reprot his birth state as North carolina. I have not transcribed them here.

In 1910 they are reported resident in Wood County, West Virginia, where WIlliam died in 1937. In 1920 they are in Ohio County, West Virginia. I have not found a 1930 census record for them,.
Several genealogies report that Martha died in Walter Reed Hospital, but provide no documentation.
