Sue commentrs on changes in her name, in a discussion on names in their family, on a Facebook page abotu this family.

    -------------------
Did you know my brith certificate listed my name as Lucy? I had it corrected when I was about 18 years old, which was not an easy thing to do.

I was born at home on a cold stormy night, the doctor did not make it there in time, so I was delivered by Grandma Julie and Geraldine. I think the doctor did not keep good records and when it was time to file my certificate, just listed me as Lucy, probably because he didn't remember that my name was Sue or he may never knew. Guess he just had to fill in the blanks. : ) My birth certificate came with Lucy and was never corrected until there was a real need. As you can tell, accurate records were not a high priority.

Nancy was named Eva Jeanette at birth. At that time there was a 1st grade reader with characters of Tom and Nancy. Geraldine thought that since we had a Tommy, we should have a Nancy. It caught on very quick and Nancy was the name she has always used. I think she had her birth certificate corrected a few years ago.
