Sue commentrs on changes in her name, in a discussion on names intheir family, on a Facebook page abotu this family.

    -------------------
Did you know my brith certificate listed my name as Lucy? I had itcorrected when I was about 18 years old, which was not an easy thingto do.

I was born at home on a cold stormy night, the doctor did not make itthere in time, so I was delivered by Grandma Julie and Geraldine. Ithink the doctor did not keep good records and when it was time tofile my certificate, just listed me as Lucy, probably because hedidn't remember that my name was Sue or he may never knew. Guess hejust had to fill in the blanks. : ) My birth certificate came withLucy and was never corrected until there was a real need. As you cantell, accurate records were not a high priority.

Nancy was named Eva Jeanette at birth. At that time there was a 1stgrade reader with characters of Tom and Nancy. Geraldine thought thatsince we had a Tommy, we should have a Nancy. It caught on very quickand Nancy was the name she has always used. I think she had her birthcertificate corrected a few years ago.
