  Note that the genealogy above reports that John was born in Rockingham County, Virginia, but his son, and John Henry was born in Coffee County, Tennessee.  However, in the 1850 census, the whole family is still in the original place in Rockingham County, Virginia, and John, age 15, is reported born in Virginia, as is every child so far.  John Henry I (b 1832-1835), then, was born in Rockingham County, Virginia.  John Henry I's son was born in Coffee County, Tennessee, in 1863 (age 7 in the 1870 census in that county).
