    Thomas Christopher Felps, residing on a ranch just east of HollbrookLake, died early this morning at the Mennonite hospital in this city,after an illness of eight weeks. Death was due to complicationfollowing heart trouble.

    Mr. Felps was born in Texas and was 64 years, six months and 11 daysold at the time of his death. His parents were killed by the Indianswhen he was but six months old. Twenty years ago he migrated toColorado and drove into Rocky Ford, with his family in a coveredwagon. A little later he moved onto the ranch just east of HolbrookLake, where he lived continually until his death.

    Deceased is survived by his wife, five sons and one daughter: William,Emmet, Elmer, John and Earl all living in this immediate vicinity, andMrs. Nina Stubblefield, of Anthony, New Mexico.

    Funeral services will be held from the chapel at the Mayer FuneralHome next Mon. morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will take place on thefamily plot in Fairview Cemetery.  The body will lie in state in thechapel at the funeral home Sun. afternoon from 2 to 5 o'clock and inthe evening from 7 to 9.
