  • Some genealogies report that after Charles died, Myra married CharlesLee's cousin.  They give the name as William Wade Cowart.  But I foundthat in the Atlanta City Directory he is listed as C Wade Cowart.They wre living in the city of Decatur in 1937.

    Obituary:

    The Marietta Journal & Courier August 30, 1918
    Mr Lee Cowart, 34 years old, died at this home on Hansell Street onSunday afternoon, after a long illness.

    The funeral services were held at the house at 8 o'clock on Sundayevening, the Rev I A White officiating.

    The remains were taken to the old family home at Dalton on Monday forinterment.

    Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife and two little daughters. Among thefloral offerings was a large crescent of beautiful flowers from theemployees of the McNeel Marble Company, where Mr Cowart had a positionbefore his illness.
