- "Sarah Lucy (Laraner) Throckmorton McSwain married William Riley UpChurch in Norwood, Stanly county N.C. after Charles McSwain died in 1848. I figured she must have married him in the early 1850s, he already had a couple of children from a previous marriage, I think he was married to a Sarah Randall, one of his boy's was named Osborne, this name was carried down in my family, Osborne Benjamin McSwain my g.g. and my father Jack Osborne McSwain."
