    Bench, Jimmie H.

    Jimmie H. Bench of Plainview, age 42 years, died August 27, 1948 inthe Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. Mr. Bench served several monthswith the armed forces during World War II. He leaves to mourn hisdeparture his wife, Mrs. Faye Bench; one daughter, Melba Jean Bench ofPlainview; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Bench of Ola Route 1; three sistersMrs. Ada Owens of Texas; Mrs. Bert Marks, of Searcy; and Mrs. RalphJones of Ola, Route 1; and one brother, Everett Bench of Watson and ahost of their relatives and friends.

    Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Assembly ofGod Church by the Rev. Ivan Marcum of Birta, assisted by MissesFrancis Payne of Dardanelle and Vivian Higgins of Tulsa, Okla. Mr.Bench was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was inSalem Cemetery near Plainview.
