• Izora's mother died in childbirth with her on 18 January 1900.  This is confirmed by the 1899 Choctaw Roll Dawes card for this family, which was found after the 1900 and 1902 records below.

  In the 1900 census, Izora is lving next door to her father's home with a couple that appear to be Walter Merryman's parents.  But Izora is reported as their niece.  Genealogies give the names of David C and Cordellia Merryman for Walter's parents.

  Izora's father Walter and his blended household are next door.  Her brothers' records arr confused on the birth state of their mother.  It is hard to tell which state was written first and which was written over the other.  Since Izora's record reports clearly that her mother was born in Texas, this appears to be their mother's correct birth state.  This matches other indications.
