  • This William Jackson may be a brother of Abraham Jackson, whose parentage is uncertain.  They both served in the Texas State Troops, which cooperated with the Confederate Army to protect Chickasaw Nation and the Texas frontier during the Civil War.

    Abe named one of his sons William Daniel, born in 1862.  Talitha's father Toliver Green was in the Texas State Troops, a Texas state force responsible for northwestern frontier defenses of Texas during the Civil War.
