  • "Uncle John Colbert Green always went by Greene.  That’s on histombstone and death certificate.  He and Aunt Pearl are buried in thesame cemetery as my mother, etc., but in a different plot.  Hischildren also used Greene, but everyone else used Green.  Don’t knowwhy he was different.  I may have told you that Uncle Fred is buriedin our family plot at Cottage Grove Cemetery which is a few milessouth of Plain Dealing, LA."
