- "Joe Wayne (Papa Joe) McQueen passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born June 13, 1937, in Weatherford to Leonard William and Lorain McQueen.
Survivors include eight children: Leona, Susan, Kenneth, Billie, Frankie and Jackie McQueen, Tammie Carpenter and Vickie Canada. Also surviving are eight stepchildren: Sammy, Gary and Roger Jackson, Rita Diaz, Dorothy Hollingsworth, Tina Clemmer, Dee Dee Stephens and Trisha Wenninger; 18 grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Keith McQueen; two sisters, Lenora Massie and Linda Hutcheson. Also surviving are his former wife and very best friend, Brenda Terry Herlin, and two of the best neighbors a person could have, Winn and Brenda McNabb."
