    She was BORN in 1849, nee Sarah Jane Thomas. She was a native ofJacksonville, FL. and came from Montgomery, AL., with her husband,A.J. Jackson, a Confederate veteran, to Milam Co. 62 yrs. ago andsettled in Salty Comm. M/M. Jackson celebrated their 70th weddinganniversary in 1936 (married 20 Nov 1866). The following year asimilar honor was shown them at the Salty church, where they hadserved as superintendent and Sunday school teacher, respectively, formore than 20 yrs. Mr. Jackson, age 93, preceded her in death1/30/1938.
