• An Alabama marriage license was issued for Gracey Urquhart and Asa Barnett.  Some genealogies report Gracey as the first wife of Asa marrying Asa in January 1827.

  But it appears that this marriage license may never have been executed with a ceremony and registration.  the execution line is marked out on the record.  No further details have been found..  But also Gracey's death date was the next year after she was married in 1827.
