In 1930, Jeff's father had died, and his widowed mother is head of the household, but it appears 17-year-old Jeff is running the farm. The eumerator first wrote Jeff as the Head of the house, with Mary as his mother, and the others as his brother, his sister and his grandmother. Later he corrected that to show Mary as Head of the household and Jeff as Son, but left the others the same! They are living next door to Jeff's brother William F Jackson.
