- John appears in several genealogies and records simply as John W Jackson. A descendant has reported that John W's full name was John Wesley.
"Enoch is my great, great grandfather. Enoch & Mary's 2nd oldest son, John Wesley Jackson (My father says that his granny (Vida Hembree) always told them grandpa (John Wesley Jackson) was named after the outlaw John Wesley Harding), was married to Vida Hembree."
