    A friend left the folloiwng tribute to Lloyd on his memorial.

    "Lloyd T. Dumond...He was a neighbor of mine years ago and how little I knew of him...Retired CWO..When we went to his funeral, we learned of his heroism during WW2...He was a crew member of a plane and a bomb had failed to drop out! It was lodged in the bomb bay area...Lloyd climbed down and risking his life, managed to dislodge the bomb and it dropped out!...I now forget the medal he received but it was a high medal for his heroic act of bravery...Will always remember Lloyd and his wife Gloria.(She is also buried here)...Loyd was a Hero, a good neighbor and a decent man....'Perpetual light shine down on both Lloyd and his wife Gloria...May you both rest in peace.'"
