The 1870 census clarifies some of these names, and adds one. The name found as "Coach" in the Hamrick information is Coatsworth in the census. The latter seems the more likely actual name. Similarly, Finetta appears where Hamrick has "Finnettle." The latter name is actually Finettie, as David Holden has. The 1880 census spells it Finetty, while in 1860 it was Venetta.

"My great grandmother was Sarah Ann McSwain Callahan (1875-1961) born and died in Cleveland Co., N.C. According to my research her father was Larkin Arkansas McSwain (1849-1929); son of Wm. Berry McSwain (1822-1904: son of David McSwain (1782-1860) who was married to Susanna Hamrick (1784-1894, which would have made her 110 yrs old). Sarah and Berry are buried at Beaver Dam Baptist Church west of Shelby, N.C. Larkin Arkansas McSwain is supposedly buried at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Swainsville, N.C."
