Notes

• Several genealogies seem to be representing family information when they report her middle name as Maldona.  But the Quaid genealogy has her middle name as Winnie, like here daughter.  I have found no documentation for a middle name, and none is provided in any of the genealogies.
  
  Virgie was a nickname for Virginia.  Her Social Security records have a middle initial of M.  In the 1920 census, when she was 10 years old, she was reported under her full name of Virginia.  The 1910 census for her family reports her as 1 year old, but at that time they were living in Brady, Garvin County, Oklahoma.

  Census records are all in Oklahoma, reporting birth in Oklahoma, as her death certificate does.  In 1910 at age 1 she was in Brady, Garvin County, Oklahoma.  She married Leland Quaid in Stephens County, Oklahoma, reported there with him in the 1930 census with their first child Glista Mae and her widowed father in the household.  Her husband died in Stephens County.  She lived in Stanton in Martin County, Texas in later life.

  Note that there is no date of death reported for Virgie in the Velma Cemetery record above.  Virgie has two burial markers, and two matching memorials on Find a Grave.  One is a joint gravestone originally put up with her husband, where he is buried, in Velma, Oklahoma.  The second is her actual burial place, in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanton, Martin County, Texas.
