Notes

  • In all the censuses of Claude's family the enumerator reports everyoneas White.  All previous censuses and Indian registrations show Robertand his family registered with their mother first as Choctaw, then asChickasaw.  (Robert's grandmother Fannie Colbert was 1/4 Choctaw and1/4 Chickasaw.)

This Green-Thompson and related name lines from Fannie Colbertgenerally merged into the general populace, reporting themselves asWhite, rather than Indian of any tribe.  The importance of theselistings also became less important as the generations progressed. Many moved west to various locations.
