    Opal Adda Thompson, age 87, passed away Dec. 14, 2003 at the Beaver Valley Hospital Long Term Care Center in Beaver, Utah. She was born March 15, 1917 in Navina, Oklahoma to Lute Orland Robinson and Mary Frances Cline. She married Claudie P. Thompson June 1, 1940 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

    Opal was baptized in the Methodist Church in Navina and had been a member of the West Methodist Church in Guthrie and the Christ Methodist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Edmond High School and the Wesley Hospital School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas. She was a Registered Nurse in Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Utah. Opal loved to go to the horse races with Claudie and was known for her excellent recipes of peanut butter fudge and peanut brittle.

    She loved her family, was generous to all, and was proud of her Oklahoma heritage. Opal is survived by her son Claudie P. Thompson, Jr. (wife Rita) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Rodney Skip Thompson (wife Ellen) of Minersville, Utah, and step son Robert Eugene Thompson (wife Bobbie) of San Diego, California. She has 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her husband Claudie P. Thompson on September 9, 1987.

    Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel and interment will be in the Summit View Cemetery. Viewing will he in the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon and 1hr prior to services on Friday.
