  Ages of the children correlated with marrriage information indicates that William and Martha Jane are the children of Alice Kirk, then after an eight-year gap, the next child Benjamin would be the son of Betsey Reeves, along with the rest of the children.  Note that Helen N was named Helen Virginia in 1850.  We have no indication what the initial N here might refer to.
  
  Since the youngest child is reported as age 2, and so born about 1848, it appears that Betsey Reeves died about 1849 or early 1850.  Since Susan is entered at the end of the list of children, it makes it seem that Susan is the wife of William Jr.
