  Harriet died not long before the 1850 census, soon after the birth of her fourth child, James Wilson Carson on February 1850.  The 1850 census reports R C Carson with 4 children in the household.
  
  The oldest child is Ella (Ellen) at age 7.  The youngest is James at 3 months.  However, the census date is 2 November, and his grave tells us James died on 9 July.  He is included in the enumeration, even though has already died, because the actual census date in 1850 was 1 June.

  In 1916, Richard's granddaughter Emmie Lemley Brown sued her cousin George E Wilson, concerning the asseets of her grandfather's estate, of which George's father Joh H WIlson had been the original administrator.  She had been appointed Administrator dbn to pursue the completion of the estate, which she though had not been settled or hd been settle dimproperly.
