"Letters from Bettie Jackson Hess to and in possesion of Linda Masrtin Hanks has provided information on William D. Jackson's death as about [Dec 1896- Jan 1897]. Bettie states in her letter date May 1st unknown year that William (Uncle William as she calls him) died when Bessie, the youngest child of him and Elza Jane Tate Jackson, was 6 months old. None her letters to Linda give a date or burial location."
