- The 1850 census reports that Sarah's age was 15. She is married to James Runnels Briscoe and has a 10-month-old son Thomas. Her age of 15 would make here born in about 1835.
But a genealogy reports her exact birth date as 2 Nov 1830, meaning she should have been 20 years old in 1850. The same genealogy reports that she and James married in August 1834, when she was only 13 years old.
