Daniel appears to have died about 1933. In the 1940 census, his wife Zell is married to Quenton Wood and there are 6-year-old twins in the home that seem to be Zell's children. Her 23-year-old son Willard Taylor is also in the Word household. 23-year-old Wilard in 1940 matches the 13-year-old Gerand here. The spelling is not certain, due to the handwriting. If Willard G and Gerand H are both correct names and initials, then Willard had four names: Willard Gerand H Taylor. I have not discovered what the H stands for.
