- Some genealogies list this daughter as Mary, and others as Polly. In the 1850 census, she is listed as Polly. In some others she is listed as Mary. It would seem to indicate that her name was Mary Polly or Polly Mary.
In the 1850 census, when she is still living at home with her parents, her age is given as 20. But the census was taken in August, and her birthday was 22 May 1829. So her age should have been 21.
