- In 1860 John is sharing a household with his brother Thomas. Both men are married and have two children. Matt Cornwell tells us that John married Sarah Boswell McSwain in 1852. The two older children in this census report are theirs: Clemens, age 5 and L L age 4. I have marked the families with different markers to indicate the family sets: * and ~. Neither wife is able to read or write.
