Notice that George's middle initial varies in reports and genealogies.  He appears as George A and George S.  Vonnie Cantrell has full names for many of this family and reports George as George Wellington McSwain.  But there is no documentation and I have not found any for this name.  I have not found his death or burial information.

One undocumented genealogy reports his name as George Davis.  this appears to be an error based on an 1880 census where George D is a child of Thomas and Hannah McSwain in Cleveland County.  This is a confusion with another McSwain family in the area.  The son in focus is George David McSwain, who also appears in our genealogy.  The George McSwain we are discussion here was the son of George Washington McSwain, who died in 1864, and Hannah McSwain (maiden name).
