• Many features of this couple in Laurel Mississippi match George A McSwain, son of George Washington McSwain and his wife Hannah McSwain (maiden name). in Cleveleand County, North Carolina.  After finding several later records, I found the 1900 census, which brought this identity into question.  This census enumerates George and Charity already married and in Laurel, Mississippi, in 1900.
  
  George A in Cleveland North Carolibna was reported in the 1900 census with his mother still in Cleveland County, North Carolina.  It seems likely the George A McSwain who was maried to Charity (maiden name unknown) in Laurel is not Georege and Hannah's son.  I have not identified this couple further.

  "Mrs. C. B. McSwain, 72 years old, died at 9 o'clock last night at her home, 1147 Thirteenth avenue.  She is survived by her husband.  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence and interment was in Hickory Grove cemetery. Captain Widgery, of the Salvation Army, officiated."
