Notes

A 1900 census record, posted by genealogies as this family, reports parents William and Jane P with 7 children. This appears to be the correct family. But they were enumerated with the name Burkett, easy enough to understand a confusion.

But William's father is reported here as born in Tennessee instead of England, and Jane is reported as having only 7 children and all 7 living. This does not account for James and Andrew who are out of the home. This must just be an uncannily similar family.

The census reports that William and Jane have been married 27 years, or marrying about 1873. The first child reported in the 1900 census was born in 1882. James Brundrett was born in 1872, which would match a marriage by his parents in 1872. James' brother William was born in 1877. So perhaps the report of having only 7 children was an error by the enumerator.
