McSwain, 78, died Nov. 11, 1999, at Carolina Care.  He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Oliver and Maggie Black McSwain, brother of the late George, Vick, Hubert, Marvin, Winifred and J.M. McSwain, retired from Carolina Freight Carriers Corp., where he worked as a long haul truck driver for 34 years, also worked as an auctioneer, member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, VFW Cherryville Post 5200, graduate of Cherryville High School, decorated World War II Marine veteran.
