Notes

  • The sparse information on her parents seems to indicate her maiden name was Elliot and thus McDaniel perhaps a first married name.  But I have not found information about a first marriage.  Genealogies I have found that include Lavinia do not report another marriage.

    Lavina Elliott McDaniel Winters
    Birth 1802 in Alabama
    Death 1870 in Cass, Texas
    Parents  Elliott, Maxwell
    Spouse Daniel Winters 1790-1841
    --  Belyeu Family, http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/19530082/person/845286919

Another genealogy gives the full name of her mother but has no information on her father.

    Alberta Maxwell
Birth 25 Dec 1884, Death Unknown
    Parents:
    Allen Tupper Maxwell 1859 - 1946
    Jeannette Carrie Duffee 1856 - 1907
    --  Stroman Cannady, http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/16500210/person/384976927

The Sanders Family Tree (http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/14731177/person/230975263?ftm=1) has her name simply as Lavinia Elliott, leaving the idea that her maiden name was Elliott, but the tree lacks any information on her parents.  Most trees have this as her middle name.
