My father Bert William Garland Strange b: 6-03-1906 in Wichita Co, Texas was the 6th child born to Samuel L. and wife Samantha Gabriel Nixon-Strange and the first child born to them in Texas.
Samantha was the daughter of John B. Nixon b: Georgia, moved to Alabama and married Hincy Childress daughter of Isaac Childress a Methodist minister in Dekalb Co., Al. John B. Nixon and son John B. Nixon, Jr and William Berry Strange were all Baptist ministers.
