In Jim Cline's Find a Grave memorial, Rebecca's name is given asRebecca Jane Pitman.  (Ancestry.com incorrectly transcribed this asRitman.)  The record spells her first name Rebeca.  Given her age onewould thinks this was her first married name.  But she is named as"Miss Rebeca J Pitman."

They moved to Oklahoma not long after they married.  In 1910 censusthey are enumerated for the census in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, onthe Red River.  According to family sources Sarah died after theymoved to Oklahoma, where they were living in Wray Township ofJefferson County.  A genealogy reported the year of Sarah Ann's deathas 1907, but a later-posted memorial on Find a Grave reports that shedied in 1904.  But she did die in Oklahoma.  So Amon and Sarah Annmoved to Oklahoma, where she died shortly afterward.

Amon returned to Georgia apparently to marry and bring his new wifeback to Oklahoma Territory.  Their marriage record reports that Amonmarried Rebecca Jane Pitman in Cherokee County, where Amon and Sarahwere living before they moved to Oklahoma Territory.  Amon marriedRebecca Jane in in 1906 and they were reported in the 1910 census forthe new State of Oklahoma, in the same location where they had beenwhen Sarah Ann died in 1904..  This was Rebecca's first marriage.
