HERSHEL WORTHY RITES TOMORROW

Funeral services for Hershel Glenn Worthy, 27, of Tyler will be heldat 10 am Wednesday [15 Nov 1950] in the Burks-Walker-Tippit Chapel.Burial will be in the Harris Creek cemetery. Rev. Cecil Jackson willofficiate at the ceremonies.

Worthy was killed in a head-on automobile accident Saturday five milessouth of Gladewater on the Tyler-Gladewater highway. One other personwas also killed in the accident.

Surviving Worthy are his wife MRS. JEAN WORTHY [Imogene Woods], and ason TRAVIS GLENN WORTHY, both of Tyler; his parents, MR and MRS J.A.WORTHY [Jesse Andrew Worthy and Eunice D Garner], of Seagraves, twobrothers, W. H WORTHY [Howard William Worthy] of Snyder and MARKWORTHY [Henry Mack Worthy] of Seagraves; and two sisters Mrs. J H REED[Gladys Ailene Worthy] of Jacksonville and MRS O. N. MCSWAIN (TessieMarie Worthy) of Seagraves.

COOLIDGE - Marie Theresa Lillie, 80, died Sept. 11, 2006 at home.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at theCoolidge Adult Center.

Mrs. Lillie was born Nov. 11, 1925 in Boxelder, Texas, to Jesse andEunice (Garner) Worthy. She lived in Arizona for 50 years after movingfrom Wisconsin. She was a volunteer at the Adult Center for manyyears. She was a giving person who liked to help people.

Survivors include a son, Gary Dodson of Auburn, Wash.; four daughters,Gayle Shumacher of Wasilla, Alaska, Verna Palechek of Coolidge, GetonWolf of Palm Springs, Calif., and Jan McCormick of Payson; a sister,Gladys Worthy of Tyler, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 39great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, EdwardM. Jr., and a daughter, Dee Cooper.
