"The entire Edmonds clan except one is missing from the 1850 census. Which leads one to believe they were all together and related. No one is sure who Anderson (Jefferson Co, TN) Edmonds' parents are.."

Anderson is thought by most to have died some time before 1880. One avid Edmonds researcher believes he did not die but moved away form this family.
"I'm looking for help with his [William Maston Edmond's] father, Brice Anderson Edmonds, last seen in Jefferson in 1865 when signing affadivit in support of Anne EDMONDS Phillips' application for widow's benefits for late husband Jeremiah. I'm trying to prove he didn't die in Jefferson but next appears in 1873 in Hamilton marrying Margaret Shipley. Last seen on 1900 census. All help appreciated. Thanks. Shirley SSBOSCOAOL.COM"

By 1880 Sarah is a widow, with three children at home with her on the farm. I ahve not found Sarah and the family in 1870.
