  Note that one of the children is named Clement.  This supports the surname Clements in the maternal line.  I found one genealogy that reports only one child of Thomas and Ann, a son named Clement.  This genealogy reports that the father of Anne Malone is James Clements!  But there is no explanation, note or source that would explain why someone named Clements has a daughter named surnamed Malone.  No mother for Anne is reported in his genealogy.

  I found only one source reporting any death information for Anne.  It is only the location.

  A couple of (again unsourced) gnealogies report that Anne married Thomas in 1840 and died in 1844.  If this date is correct, this would mean there was another wife as the mother of Clement, Nathaniel, Malone and Bud.  I have not yet found any public records to clarify this family.  No genealogy I have found has another wife.  It is likely that the 1844 death date is wrong.
