    Memories of a descendant:
Martha Elvira - I assume she was a lovely person from the life-longimpression she left on Mother (Minnie), who was only 12 at the time, but she quoted her mother and has been very attached and was trulyimpressed by her mother's life. Martha came from the Israel family whooriginated in North Carolina. In the family history book "Children ofIsrael" written by Kenneth Israel - Martha Elvira was dropped from thehistory book when she married Newton Goggans and left that area of NC.
Martha and Newton had five children: Arthur who died at a young age,Ethel, Minnie Lee, Maud and Willie.
