The name in the Christiansen Genealogy has the simple name BessieWinans.
Bessie apparently went by her first name.

    JENKINS, J B 18 WYNANS, BESSIE M 19 13 OCT 1907 MARLOW K©471
--  Chickasaw Nation Marriages, Ardmore Courthouse, transcribed byMary Kinard, http://www.okgenweb.org/~okgarvin/kinard/chickjmarr.htm

The name on the marriage record is Bessie M Wynans.  The M must be amistake.  The spelling of Winans by family members seems to indicatethat the spelling Winans should be retained.

Joseph Benjamin Jenkins married Bessie Amanda Ann Winans in October1907.  Though the marriage register spells the name Wynans, otherfamily sources, including a letter from a grand-daughter to Jenkinsfamily members, uses the spelling Winans.

Ben was a few days short of his 18th birthday.  The marriage registergives his age as 18.  His brother Everett also married in 1907.

Harold K. Christian reports this as a short marriage.  I estimate thatthe marriage lasted between one and two years.  Ben is known to havemoved to Mountain View to work with his brother Everett in a drycleaning business, but it is not certain when he moved to MountainView.
